A Review of the Samyang AF 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Lens

At just $1299, the Samyang AF 35-150mm f/2-2.8 looks like a remarkable deal if it can offer the performance and image quality to match those impressively versatile specifications. So, how does it hold up in practice? This fantastic video review takes a look at what you can expect.

Coming to you from Arthur R, this great video review takes a look at the Samyang AF 35-150mm f/2-2.8 lens. Covering the majority of the most-used focal lengths and offering a particularly wide set of apertures to math, the 35-150mm f/2-2.8 looks intriguing for a wide range of users, particularly portrait, wedding, sports, and events photographers. To back up those headlining specs, it also offers support for Sony's advanced autofocus capabilities, nine diaphragm blades for particularly smooth bokeh, three custom mode switches, and a weather-sealed design for working in inclement conditions. Of course, with such a wide focal length range and set of apertures, the lens has a large footprint, but when you consider that it is potentially replacing several individual lenses, it is worthy of consideration, particularly if you appreciate the convenience of not having to carry several lenses. Check out the video above for the full rundown.

Was looking into the Tamron, but didn't pull the trigger as it wasn't available in Europe for a decent price. SY was then released and I could grab a copy for 1099€ including transport, and it was a great buy. Had three sessions with it so far and do not regret. Lucky me, no problem with the lens creep mentioned in the video, mine is rock solid.
